“It's a whole new west.”

After the Civil War, Captain James West (Will Smith) and U.S. Marshal Artemus Gordon (Kevin Kline) are paired as government agents to stop a mad scientist from destroying the nation. Dr. Arliss Loveless (Kenneth Branagh), a Confederate officer bent on vengeance, has built mechanical weapons and kidnapped President Grant. The two agents race across the frontier before Loveless unleashes an arsenal that could remake the country by force.
