Frank Martin (Jason Statham), a professional driver for hire in Miami, takes a job ferrying a young boy to school each day. When the child is kidnapped during one of his runs, Frank becomes the only person who knows what happened, and he has to move through the city's underworld to get him back. Leterrier sends Frank through a blur of fights and chases, but the driver's real problem is that he's let someone matter to him.
