Ellen (Lily Collins) is wasting away from anorexia, and at twenty she has exhausted her family's patience and her own reasons to stop. Her mother Susan (Carrie Preston) enrolls her in an unconventional treatment home run by Dr. William Beckham (Keanu Reeves), where Ellen meets other patients locked in the same battle with hunger and control. Recovery is not a moment of clarity but a choice remade each day, often without knowing if it will hold.
