“Their teacher became their leader. His students became his soldiers.”

Rainer Wenger (Jürgen Vogel), a high school teacher, wants to show his students how fascism took hold by running a five-day experiment in his classroom. He introduces a uniform, a salute, and a slogan as a harmless lesson in history. By the end of the week, the students have formed a movement with its own logic, and Wenger watches as the line between teaching and losing control dissolves into the crowd.
