The Shawshank Redemption

Andy Dufresne (Tim Robbins), a banker convicted of murdering his wife, arrives at Shawshank State Penitentiary claiming innocence and carrying a quiet conviction that he doesn't belong here. He befriends Red (Morgan Freeman), a lifer who smuggles contraband and has learned to survive by accepting the walls. Over decades, Andy's mind becomes as valuable as his freedom once was, and he discovers that hope, however small, is the one thing no prison can take.
