“Truth be told”

A classified government study about Vietnam deception surfaces as The Washington Post prepares to publish it. Kay Graham (Meryl Streep), the paper's newly minted publisher, and Ben Bradlee (Tom Hanks), its executive editor, must decide whether to print, knowing the government will fight back hard. Spielberg builds the tension through conference rooms and phone calls, watching two institutions clash over what a free press owes the country.
