The Number 23

“First it takes hold of your mind...then it takes hold of your life.”

Walter Sparrow (Jim Carrey) finds a mysterious book at a used bookstore and becomes convinced that the number 23 is a hidden code running through his own life. As he digs deeper, the boundary between the book's dark story and his own past starts to blur. He sits alone in the dark, the number appearing everywhere, inescapable, carved into the surfaces around him.
