The Grudge

“It never forgives. It never forgets.”

A young woman (Sarah Michelle Gellar) moves into a Tokyo house and begins to experience unexplained, escalating hauntings. She learns the home was the site of a brutal crime, and that those who enter are marked by Kayako (Takako Fuji), a vengeful spirit who cannot be reasoned with or escaped. Shimizu traps Karen inside the logic of the curse itself, where knowing what happened offers no protection from what comes next.
