The Great Wall

“1700 years to build. 5500 miles long. What were they trying to keep out?”

A mercenary named William (Matt Damon) arrives at China's Great Wall searching for gunpowder and is imprisoned by the fortress's army instead. The soldiers wear color-coded armor and move with balletic precision, defending against a threat no one will name until the gates crack open. What emerges is a writhing mass of creatures, and William stands with Commander Lin Mae (Jing Tian) as the wall itself becomes a dam holding back a tide.
