The Fly

“Be afraid. Be very afraid.”

Seth Brundle (Jeff Goldblum), a brilliant and reckless physicist, wants to revolutionize human travel with his teleportation pods. He tests one on himself, but a fly enters the chamber at the moment of transport, and the machine fuses them together at the molecular level. Cronenberg watches Brundle's body betray him piece by piece, revealing that ambition without restraint doesn't elevate us, it erases who we are.
