Greta Evans (Lauren Cohan) takes a nanny job at a remote English manor, expecting to care for a child. Instead she finds Brahms Heelshire (James Russell), a life-sized porcelain doll that the elderly couple treats as their son, complete with a strict schedule and rules she must follow. As Greta settles into the house's routines, she discovers that treating the doll like a living boy might be the only way to survive what the walls already know.
