The Dude (Jeff Bridges) is a Los Angeles slacker and bowler until he's roughed up by debt collectors hunting the wrong Jeffrey Lebowski. Walter Sobchak (John Goodman), his volatile best friend, convinces him to seek recompense from the millionaire who shares his name. As The Dude follows the money, the whole scheme stands on the edge of collapse, and he may lose everything that keeps him afloat.
