“We all need some body to lean on.”

Hank (Paul Dano), stranded on an island, finds a corpse washed ashore and realizes it can do impossible things. He names the body Manny (Daniel Radcliffe) and uses it as a raft, a tool, a compass, anything survival demands, talking to it constantly because silence is worse than madness. As the two move inland, Hank discovers that Manny is becoming less a thing to use and more a thing he needs.
