Starship Troopers

“A new kind of enemy. A new kind of war.”

In the 23rd century, Earth's military recruits teenagers like Johnny Rico (Casper Van Dien) into the Starship Troopers to fight an alien species called the Arachnids. Rico joins partly for Carmen Ibañez (Denise Richards), a girl from his school now an officer, and finds himself in basic training alongside Dizzy Flores (Dina Meyer). Verhoeven stages the combat with the kinetic pulse of a propaganda film, all bombast and blood.
