“This summer a star falls. The chase begins.”

In a sleepy English village separated from the magical lands beyond by a stone wall, young Tristan Thorn (Charlie Cox) promises to fetch a fallen star for the woman he loves. He crosses into a realm where that star is Yvaine (Claire Danes), a creature of light who is being hunted by a witch (Michelle Pfeiffer) and the heirs to a throne. Tristan learns who he really is only by protecting someone he did not know he was searching for.
