Snowden

“The only safe place is on the run.”

Edward Snowden (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), a CIA subcontractor, becomes convinced that mass surveillance programs are illegal. He begins copying classified NSA documents and reaches out to journalist Glenn Greenwald (Zachary Quinto) and filmmaker Laura Poitras (Melissa Leo) to expose them. Once the leaks begin, Snowden must evade the full machinery of the U.S. government, knowing his own freedom is forfeit.
