Sicario: Day of the Soldado

“Some missions need a hitman...others need a soldier.”

A series of cartel kidnappings triggers a covert operation: the government tasks Matt Graver (Josh Brolin) and the assassin Alejandro Gillick (Benicio del Toro) with sparking war between criminal organizations. Their plan spirals when a young girl, Isabel Reyes (Isabela Merced), becomes entangled in the scheme. Sollima shoots the Mexican desert in bleached daylight and shadow, two professionals in a truck bed, the girl between them.
