“Yesterday was about honor. Today is about justice.”

Bob Lee Swagger (Mark Wahlberg), a retired Force Recon Marine sniper, is drawn back into service by a colonel (Danny Glover) who wants him to help prevent an assassination. After the shot is fired, Swagger realizes he has been set up to take the fall for a murder he didn't commit. Now hunted by mercenaries and the law, he has to expose the conspiracy before the people behind it disappear into the machinery that protects them.
