Victorian London wraps itself around a series of ritualistic murders. Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey Jr.) and Dr. John Watson (Jude Law) trace the pattern back to Lord Henry Blackwood (Mark Strong), a man whose reach extends into the city's hidden corners. Ritchie choreographs the investigation like a mechanical dance, cutting between deduction and action as the two men close in on what Blackwood has set in motion.
