Seven Years in Tibet
“At the end of the world his real journey began.”
Heinrich Harrer (Brad Pitt), an Austrian mountaineer and Wehrmacht soldier, escapes a British prisoner-of-war camp in 1944 and makes his way across the Himalayas into Tibet. There he meets the fourteen-year-old Dalai Lama (Jamyang Jamtsho Wangchuk) and becomes his tutor and friend, a bond that transforms them both. Annaud frames the story as one man learning that ambition and spiritual wisdom ask different things of us.
