Seven Samurai

“Unmatched for suspense and spectacle!”

A farming village hires Kambei Shimada (Takashi Shimura), a masterless samurai, to recruit six others and defend them from bandits. Among them is Kikuchiyo (Toshirō Mifune), a restless swordsman who talks too much and fights to prove he belongs. Kurosawa gathers this ragged crew around a fire in the rain, each one scarred and tired, knowing the odds, staying anyway.
