Seven Pounds

“Seven names. Seven strangers. One secret.”

Ben moves through his days with quiet, methodical purpose, visiting strangers in crisis. He is drawn to Emily (Rosario Dawson), a woman battling illness with unexpected grace, and to others in genuine hardship. Ben has decided what each of them deserves, and he is moving toward an end he has already chosen. The film suggests that redemption is not the opposite of guilt, but its continuation.
