In 1960s England, a young piano prodigy named Reginald Dwight (Taron Egerton) dreams of stardom from his cramped suburban home. He finds his voice through a partnership with lyricist Bernie Taupin (Jamie Bell), and together they begin writing the songs that will define a generation. But success comes with a manager named John Reid (Richard Madden) whose influence pulls Elton toward excess and isolation, threatening everything he has built.
