Rodney Copperbottom (Ewan McGregor), an eager young inventor, arrives in Robot City to work for his idol Bigweld (Mel Brooks), only to discover the company has been taken over by someone with darker plans. He teams up with Cappy (Halle Berry) and a scrappy robot named Crank (Drew Carey) to uncover what happened. Wedge builds the world in layers of gleaming metal and neon color, making each frame dense with movement and detail.
