“Crime has a new enemy.”

Detective Alex Murphy (Joel Kinnaman) is shot and left for dead on a Detroit street, then rebuilt by OmniCorp as part of a corporate experiment in law enforcement. Dr. Dennett Norton (Gary Oldman) grafts artificial systems onto what remains of Murphy's body, creating a cyborg that looks human but runs on code. As Murphy hunts the men responsible for his death, he begins to question what parts of himself are still his own.
