Raiders of the Lost Ark

“The return of the great adventure.”

Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) is an archaeologist after the Ark of the Covenant, convinced it's hidden somewhere in the deserts of 1936. The Nazis want it too, and so does his rival, René Belloq (Paul Freeman), who knows how to find it. Spielberg cracks the whip from the first frame, cutting between impossible escapes and impossible stunts with the rhythm of a drummer who never lets the tempo drop.
