Pocahontas

“An American legend comes to life.”

English settlers arrive in Virginia, led by the ambitious Governor Ratcliffe (David Ogden Stiers), ready to seize land and riches. Pocahontas (Irene Bedard), a young Powhatan woman who speaks to the natural world, encounters John Smith (Mel Gibson), a soldier whose arrival threatens everything her people hold. As the two fall toward each other across the divide between their worlds, the violence gathering on both sides grows harder to stop.
