Jim Preston (Chris Pratt) wakes alone on a luxury starship 90 years into a 120-year journey to a distant colony, with no memory of boarding and no way back to sleep. Aurora Lane (Jennifer Lawrence) wakes months later, confused and furious, and together they must confront what their early awakening means for the thousands still frozen in the hold. The ship is failing, and only the two of them are awake to stop it.
