Jack (Tom Cruise) maintains a massive energy-extraction facility on a ravaged Earth, his memory erased, waiting for extraction to a space station called Oblivion. When he rescues a woman (Olga Kurylenko) from a crashed spacecraft, her presence breaks open the shield of his daily routine and forces him to question everything he has been told.
