Vee Delmonico (Emma Roberts) signs up for Nerve, an anonymous online dare game where players complete tasks for money while thousands watch and vote. She matches with Ian (Dave Franco), another player, and the two begin chasing increasingly reckless dares through the city at night. As the stakes climb and the watchers demand more, Vee realizes the game's logic has no off switch, and she needs Ian to find her way out.
