Dr. Michael Morbius (Jared Leto), a biochemist dying of a rare blood disease, synthesizes a serum from vampire bat DNA and injects himself. The transformation works: his illness vanishes, his strength multiplies, but he now hungers for human blood. Espinosa propels him forward as the hunger grows harder to contain and those closest to him begin to suspect what he has become.
