“He's dying to save mankind.”

Mickey Barnes (Robert Pattinson) signs up to colonize a frozen planet in 2054 as an "Expendable", a worker designed to be cloned each time he dies. When he survives an assignment he wasn't meant to, a new version of himself is already walking around the ship. The two Mickeys have to reckon with what it means that one of them shouldn't exist, and whether the bond between them matters more than the question of who is real.
