Mary Poppins
“The fairest of them all...the funniest of them all!”
A mysterious nanny (Julie Andrews) arrives at the Banks home in London on the East Wind, armed with a carpetbag that holds far more than should fit inside. Mr. Banks (David Tomlinson) needs discipline and order restored to his unruly children, though Mary has her own ideas about what they actually need. By film's end, a magical parrot-headed cane leans against a chair in an ordinary room, waiting by the window as if she might return.
