“The search begins”

At five years old, Saroo (Sunny Pawar) falls asleep on a train in India and wakes thousands of miles from home. Adopted by an Australian couple, John and Sue Brierley (David Wenham, Nicole Kidman), he grows into a young man in Melbourne, until a chance encounter awakens the memory of his lost brother. Garth Davis traces Saroo's (Dev Patel) obsessive search across Google Earth and old photographs, knowing that finding his family means risking the one he already has.
