Léon: The Professional

Léon Montana (Jean Reno) is a hitman in New York who lives alone and speaks almost never. When his neighbor's family is murdered by corrupt DEA agent Norman Stansfield (Gary Oldman), twelve-year-old Mathilda (Natalie Portman) survives and asks him to teach her to kill. Besson frames them in that narrow apartment like two animals in a cage, their bond forming in the space between silence and violence.
