Lara Croft (Angelina Jolie) hunts an ancient Chinese box that holds the key to a biological weapon. She recruits Terry Sheridan (Gerard Butler), a former soldier, to help her stay ahead of Jonathan Reiss (Ciarán Hinds), a power broker who wants the box for himself.
