In the Mood for Love

“Feel the heat, keep the feeling burning, let the sensation explode.”

In 1962 Hong Kong, two neighbors discover their spouses are having an affair. Su Li-zhen (Maggie Cheung) and Chow Mo-wan (Tony Leung Chiu-wai) meet in secret, at first to confirm their suspicions, then to rehearse confrontations that never happen. As months pass, the line between playing out a scenario and living one dissolves, leaving them suspended between the marriage they're trapped in and the one they'll never have.
