In the Heart of the Sea

First mate Owen Chase (Chris Hemsworth) wants to command his own ship and prove himself to a captain who sees him as a threat. When the Essex is rammed and sunk by a massive white whale in the Pacific, Chase and the crew are cast adrift in small boats with meager supplies. Ron Howard shoots the ocean as an immense, indifferent force, each wave and horizon another test of whether these men will survive the chase.
