Five years after making peace with dragons, Hiccup (voice: Jay Baruchel) finds his island threatened by a warlord gathering an army of the creatures. His mother Valka (voice: Cate Blanchett), long presumed dead, emerges from hiding with her own dragons and her own vision of what comes next. Hiccup must choose between the world his father Stoick (voice: Gerard Butler) built and the one his mother is trying to save, knowing that someone will have to pay the price.
