“Big cops. Small town. Moderate violence.”

Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg), a high-ranking London cop, is exiled to the sleepy village of Sandford. There, a series of gruesome deaths passes off as accidents until Angel and his partner Danny Butterman (Nick Frost) begin to notice they don't add up. What looks like a quiet English town is run by people willing to kill to keep it that way, and stopping them will require Angel to embrace the very violence he thought he'd left behind.
