Mount Olympus gleams above the mortal world, where Hercules (Tate Donovan), son of Zeus, has been stripped of his godhood and left on Earth as a human infant. A satyr named Philoctetes (Danny DeVito) trains him into a powerful warrior, but strength alone won't let him return home to the gods. Only by becoming a true hero will he earn back his place in the heavens, and that means facing down Hades (James Woods), the underworld's scheming lord.
