Commander Krause (Tom Hanks) takes charge of a Navy destroyer for the first time, tasked with shepherding a convoy of Allied ships across the Atlantic while German U-boats hunt below. He has five days at sea to prove himself, with no air support and his crew watching to see if he'll hold. Schneider traps us in the wheelhouse as Krause fights exhaustion and doubt, learning that command means living with decisions that cannot be unmade.
