Grease

“Grease is the word.”

Sandy Olsson (Olivia Newton-John), an Australian transfer student, arrives at Rydell High to find Danny Zuko (John Travolta), the greaser she met during summer, suddenly cool and distant. She navigates the social order of 1950s high school while Danny plays it tough between who he was and who his friends expect. Kleiser turns the whole film into a high-school fantasy, one where every hallway is a stage and the songs arrive like weather.
