“They're here to save the world.”

Three eccentric parapsychologists, Peter Venkman (Bill Murray), Ray Stantz (Dan Aykroyd), and Egon Spengler (Harold Ramis), start a ghost-catching business in Manhattan. The city floods with spectral activity, and they race between hauntings, building contraptions on the fly and discovering an ancient entity stirring beneath the streets. Reitman shoots the chaos with a light touch, letting the absurdity breathe and the jokes land without strain.
