Jake Lawson (Gerard Butler) designed the satellites meant to control Earth's climate, but now they're misfiring in ways that trigger catastrophic storms across the globe. He teams with his brother Max (Jim Sturgess) and Secret Service agent Sarah Wilson (Abbie Cornish) to trace the sabotage before the next geostorm wipes out a continent. Devlin orchestrates the escalation with propulsive editing and a mounting sense that the clock is running out.
