Gangster Squad

“No names. No badges. No mercy.”

Los Angeles in 1949 belongs to Mickey Cohen (Sean Penn), a crime boss who has locked the city down through muscle and money. John O'Mara (Josh Brolin), a tough police captain, assembles a secret squad of detectives to dismantle Cohen's empire from the shadows. O'Mara gathers his crew, including the sharp-eyed Sgt. Jerry Wooters (Ryan Gosling), knowing that this fight will demand everything and leave scars that won't heal.
