“Science goes astray!”

Victor Frankenstein (Charlie Tahan) uses a lightning storm and crude electrodes to bring his dead dog Sparky back to life. When his classmates discover what he's done, they reanimate their own dead pets, filling the town with confused, lurching creatures. Burton animates the chaos in black and white, each frame packed with the kind of careful, crooked detail that makes his stop-motion worlds feel as lived-in as they are impossible.
