Roddy St. James (Hugh Jackman) is a pampered pet rat living in a Kensington apartment until an accident flushes him down the toilet into London's sewers. There he meets Rita Malone (Kate Winslet), a tough scavenger rat who agrees to help him get home. But the sewers belong to The Toad (Ian McKellen), a crime boss, and Roddy's fancy manners make him a target in a world where survival depends on staying invisible.
