“If someone took everything you live for... how far would you go to get it back?”

Kyle Pratt (Jodie Foster), an aircraft engineer, boards a transatlantic flight with her young daughter and her husband's coffin. Midway across the ocean, her daughter vanishes from her seat, and the crew insists the girl was never on the plane. Kyle must convince captain Carson (Peter Sarsgaard) and the rest of the cabin that her daughter exists. Schwentke traps the viewer inside the sealed cabin with Kyle, the walls narrowing with each moment.
