“Just because they serve you doesn't mean they like you.”

Dante Hicks (Brian O'Halloran) wants to get through a single shift at the Quick Stop without disaster, but his coworker Randal Graves (Jeff Anderson) treats the register like a stage for his worst impulses. Kevin Smith keeps a camera on them as they argue about movies and dodge customers. The film's real subject isn't plot; it's the small agreements two people make just to survive each other.
